Two days after the eviction of an outpost in Gush Etzion, during which a protester was shot with a sponge round, the young man recounts how he was hit and calls out the police for the violent manner, as he sees it, in which they acted.

"I was at the eviction near Metzad. We came from somewhere else to protest the demolition of homes. There was some really barbaric conduct by the Border Police forces that operated there; stun grenades were fired directly at people, people were hit by grenades at point-blank range, and I was shot in the leg. I have a splinter fracture that needs a few months of treatment. It's a shame that that's how they threaten people who love the land, as if they were the worst terrorists."

During the eviction, four protesters were arrested and taken to a police station. Atty. Nati Rom from the Honenu legal advocacy organization provided the detainees with legal counsel, and they were quickly released.
