Women In Green has faxed over 350,000 signatures to Prime Minister Sharon, representing the "silent majority in Israel and elsewhere" that is opposed to the creation of a PLO state. "Prime Minister Sharon continues to ignore this clear demonstration of the will of the Jewish People," the organization states, adding that in light of the fact that the Oslo Process has failed, it must be replaced by new alternatives. Among those alternatives, it mentions the annexation of the historical and Biblical areas of Judea, Samaria and Gaza; a transfer of Arab non-citizens to Jordan; and others. "What is vital is that there be free and open discussion of possible solutions, as Israel and Jewish survival are at stake."
The grassroots organization Cities of Israel notes that the Government of Israel has never made a decision expressing support for the notion of a Palestinian state - yet the Bush Administration is " trying to push Israel into accepting that dangerous notion." Cities of Israel recommends that Jewish-American organizations be "reminded" that they must "do everything possible" to make the dangers of this approach known. The group also notes that though Prime Minister Sharon, as an individual, has expressed support for a PA state, only the Israeli Government is empowered to act on behalf of the State of Israel.
