Justice Minister Yosef (Tommy) Lapid of Shinui has named Salim Jubran of Haifa as a Supreme Court justice. Lapid said he the appointment is a "gesture of good will." Justice Yitzchak Englard, the only religious Court justice, announced his retirement from the Supreme Court last week.
