During an operational activity carried out by the prison guards at Carmel Prison, an unusual and dangerous find was discovered: a spike hidden inside a Chumash, a copy of the Five Books of Moses, placed in the prison synagogue's holy books library.
The incident occurred as part of focused searches aimed at locating prohibited items. The spike, which could have been used to harm the prison staff, was seized, and an investigation has been opened on the matter.
