Two men, aged 34 and 35, residents of Jerusalem, crossed the border into Jordan on a jet ski yesterday (Wednesday).

The Eilat Maritime Police, with the assistance of the IDF - Red Sea Unit, located the jet ski riders and returned them to the Israeli border.

The two were detained for questioning at the Eilat Police Station and were later released under restrictive conditions. The police emphasized that "crossing the maritime border without authorization is illegal and will lead to the initiation of criminal proceedings against the violators."

Additionally, the police advised acting responsibly during maritime activities, especially in the Gulf of Eilat, which is near international borders.

It was also recommended to equip oneself with a water-resistant mobile phone to contact rescue centers in case of an emergency.
