Some good news on the judicial front. The Jerusalem District Court overturned a decision by the Hevron Police Department today, and allowed Kiryat Arba resident Uri Amsali to bear arms. The police refused to allow him to carry a gun because he once stood trial. Amsali, who is a member of the local emergency response team, appealed the decision, explaining that without a weapon, his life is in danger. The court not only agreed with him, but also obligated the State to pay 10,000 shekels in court expenses.
