Palestinian terrorists attempted to kill several more Israeli residents and soldiers in Gush Katif yesterday in some four different incidents. There was a grenade-and-gunfire attack at an IDF post on the Israeli-Egyptian border, gunfire at another position in Gadid - a small Jewish community adjacent to N'vei Dekalim - and shots at a house in N'vei Dekalim itself. Three soldiers were lightly wounded when an explosion near Kfar Darom, just north of Gush Katif in Gaza, rocked an armored personnel carrier in which they were riding. It is not yet clear whether the vehicle drove over the explosive, or whether Arabs detonated a roadside bomb via remote control.

Near Shechem, an Arab living near Shechem was shot last night, after throwing a firebomb at an IDF patrol. No Israelis were hurt. PLO sources claim that the fire-bomber died of his wounds.
