A tense search in the Binyamin region came to a heartening end on June 4, when 17-year-old Moshe Netzach, who had been reported missing earlier that day, was located safe and in good health.

Hundreds of volunteers and local residents mobilized quickly, sweeping the area near Or Meir in coordinated efforts. The successful outcome was announced just hours later. The Israel Dog Unit (IDU), a nonprofit specializing in working dogs which took part in the search, called for greater government attention to the issue of missing persons throughout Israel.

In a statement released June 5, the Israel Dog Unit highlighted the ongoing search for Yoram Hillel Fliter, 31, who disappeared shortly after the October 7th massacre.

Working in cooperation with Fliter’s family, Israel Dog Unit volunteers have conducted an intensive sweep of the forest near Beit Shemesh where Yoram was last seen. The searchers have used trained dogs and specialized equipment and found several of Yoram's personal effects - but no trace of Yoram himself.

Daniel Fliter, Yoram's brother, joined the call for the Prime Minister and government to provide official status and assistance to the families of missing persons. "Like me, there are hundreds of families with missing loved ones," he explained. "We are receiving no help from the State of Israel."
