The silent station will only broadcast news in case of a sudden national emergency. The station can be found on 576 on your AM dial (formally known as Reshet Aleph).
Aside from this, the public is reminded to keep their gas masks handy at all times until further notice. This includes bringing the masks to Beit Knesset over Shabbat as well (provided that your community is encompassed by a certified eiruv.
