Eight to ten policemen searched the homes of two Kfar Tapuach residents this morning, briefly arrested them, and confiscated pictures, books, and articles. The charges: editing the "Darkah Shel Torah" (Way of Torah) semi-weekly four-page journal, which espouses the views of Rabbi Meir Kahane. Kahane's Kach movement was declared illegal over a decade ago.

Tapuach resident Lenny Goldberg, who translated the newly-published English edition of Rabbi Binyamin Kahane's Passover Haggadah, said that the timing of the raid may be connected with the new work's publication, and that police had made a similar raid before the publication of the Hebrew version of the Haggadah. "Now," he said, "more people will hear about the Haggadah..."
