The State of Israel at 10:00 on Thursday morning held a two-minute "moment of silence" in memory of the six million Jews murdered in the Holocaust.
Following the siren, a wreath-laying ceremony began at Yad Vashem, attended by the Prime Minister, Knesset Speaker, Supreme Court President, Holocaust survivors, and others.
At 11:00 a.m., Yad Vashem will hold the "Every Person Has a Name" ceremony, in which the public will read out names of Holocaust victims.
At 2:00 p.m., the March of the Living will begin in Poland, leaving from Auschwitz and marching towards Birkenau. At 4:30 p.m., the march's central event will begin.
At 5:00 p.m., the youth groups will hold a Holocaust memorial event. The day's final event will begin at 8:00 p.m., attended by ministers, MKs, ambassadors, Holocaust survivors, youth group members, and others.
