The two would-be killers, apprehended between the Kisufim and Gush Katif junctions, were carrying a Kalachnikov rifle, magazines, and four grenades. Since the beginning of the Oslo War in September 2000, some 270 terrorists have been killed in Gaza while trying to infiltrate Jewish communities or on their way to perpetrate other attacks against Israelis.
