The Efrat/Gush Etzion Raise Your Spirits Summer Stock Company has done it again. First it was their production of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," which raised the spirits of the more than 5,000 women throughout Israel who saw the show. A year later, the women of Gush Etzion produced their own original version of the Purim story - and 8,000 women throughout Israel have already seen it. The show, "Esther and the Secrets in the King's Court," was written, produced, directed and choreographed by Sharon Katz, Toby Klein Greenwald and Arlene Chertoff.

Three busloads of women - actresses, directors, stagehands, etc. - went to Gush Katif one recent afternoon to perform for more than 600 women and girls there. Each of the 19 shows staged so far has been totally sold out, and the next show will be held a week from tonight in Raanana - only two days after Purim - with proceeds going to the Ohel Ari synagogue, in memory of IDF soldier Ari Weiss, who was killed last year in Jenin.

Almost 2,000 CDs of the show have been sold, and over $30,000 has been raised for the Gush Etzion Foundation, benefiting families of terror victims and communities that have been hit by terrorism.
