The international organization "Journalists Without Borders" (RSF) is taking Israel's side. The group says that Kuwait is making it difficult for Israeli journalists who have come to cover the war preparations. RSF has sent a letter to the Kuwaiti Minister of Information saying that Kuwait "would do honor to itself if it were to stop all discrimination against Israeli reporters who are contributing to the free movement of information." Kuwait currently has some 1,000 foreign journalists.

Interestingly, Israeli journalist Yoni Ben-Menachem told Arutz-7 today that the Iraqi Ambassador to the United Nations had actually spoken to him. Ben-Menachem was discussing reports that Iraqi jet fighters had threatened two American U-2 reconnaissance airplanes flying over Iraq. He said that the Iraqi Ambassador had told him that Iraq and the U.S. had an agreement that U-2's were not allowed to fly in pairs, only individually. Ben-Menachem said that no such agreement existed, and in fact other Iraqi officials said they simply had not been properly notified about the flight.
