The Kinneret Sea, Israel's largest reservoir and the benchmark for the country's water supply, continues to rise. It now stands at 211.42 meters below sea level, precisely three full meters higher than it was at the beginning of the current rainy season. The Kinneret still needs 2.5 meters, or well over 500 million cubic meters of water, to reach the optimum level. Heavy rains are expected, for the first time in over a week, from tonight until Thursday.
