In the Rehavia section of Jerusalem, a memorial ceremony for the eleven victims of the Moment Cafe attack, which took place exactly a year ago, was held this afternoon. Government ministers and Jerusalem Mayor Uri Lopoliansky took part in the ceremony. Seven family members of the victims filed suit for 135 million shekels against the Palestinian Authority today. They say that the terrorists were acting in the framework of official PA policy and as emissaries of Yasser Arafat when they killed the 11 Jews. The suit also claims that the suicide murderers used weapons that are forbidden by international law.
Another memorial ceremony was held in Jerusalem today as well, this one for former Prime Minister Menachem Begin on the occasion of the 11th anniversary of his death. Knesset Speaker Ruby Rivlin took part in the Mt. of Olives ceremony, as did Finance Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Begin family members.
