Abu Mazen, whose given name is Mahmoud Abbas, also has a rich history of Holocaust denial. Arafat's choice for Prime Minister of the Palestinian Authority, and the man regarded by much of the world as its great hope for moderation and peace in the Middle East, is the author of a book in Arabic book entitled, "The Other Side: The Secret Relationship Between Nazism and Zionism."

In the book, Abbas refutes what he calls “the Zionist fantasy, the fantastic lie that six million Jews were killed.” Abu Abbas, the man whose appointment was seen as a positive development by Prime Minister Sharon "- contingent upon his [Abu Mazen's] authorities," suggested that "only" 890,000 Jews were killed by Hitler, and that they were victims of a joint Zionist-Nazi plot.
