A vehicle caught fire and exploded on Wednesday outside the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas.

Police confirmed one individual was killed and several others were injured as a result of the explosion.

Law enforcement is investigating the explosion as a possible act of terror.

According to an official quoted by ABC News, the vehicle had a load of fireworks-style mortars onboard.

According to footage from the scene, the vehicle appears to be an electric Tesla Cybertruck, but no official confirmation was published.

A county spokeswoman said in a statement that the fire was in the hotel’s valet area and was reported at 8:40 a.m.

Eric Trump, the son of President-elect Donald Trump and the executive vice president of the Trump Organization, stated: "Earlier today, a reported electric vehicle fire occurred in the porte cochère of Trump Las Vegas. The safety and well-being of our guests and staff remain our top priority. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Las Vegas Fire Department and local law enforcement for their swift response and professionalism."
