Minister of Finance Binyamin Netanyahu met yesterday afternoon with Bank of Israel Governor David Klein for the second time in one week. Accompanying Netanyahu was Minister Without Portfolio Meir Sheetrit, who is working alongside the finance minister towards implementing economic reforms. Netanyahu is attempting to build a better working relationship with Mr. Klein, in light of the latter's recent statements interpreted as critical of government economic policies. As part of his appointment to the finance ministry, Netanyahu received a commitment from the Prime Minister that he would have a free hand in deciding economic policy.
