Prime Minister Ariel Sharon responded to yesterday’s terrorist bombing saying that Israel must continue to fight “a war of destruction” against terrorist murderers and their sponsors. On the other hand, Sharon said that “the government will make every effort to reach a political arrangement that will lead to peace.”
Sharon, speaking at a ceremony awarding medals to police and public volunteers said “those who were killed were mostly school children, pointing out again and again, the character of those opposing us. For a long time, the world did not understand the dangers of terrorism, and today they understand this better, especially, the United States and its president, George Bush. The terror that struck the twin towers is the same terror that struck down these school children. Who ever needs further proof should read the letter that was found on the attacker”
praising the attack on the twin towers.
