The Knesset today upgraded the status of the Atarot industrial zone in north Jerusalem to that of northern front-line communities. The decision takes into account the financial losses suffered by businesses there because of the continuing Palestinian shooting attacks; many of the businesses have closed altogether. Atarot companies will be given special benefits, and their products will be given a higher priority rating.
