Sinwar contacts Hamas leadership in Qatar
IDF investigates rumors of the Hamas leader's assassination, Al-Arabiya reports that Sinwar contacted his associates in Qatar.
The Al-Arabiya network responded to reports in Israel and investigations conducted by the IDF regarding the fate of Hamas leader in Gaza Yahya Sinwar, and reported on Monday evening that Sinwar recently made contact with the leadership of the terrorist organization in Qatar, after a long period of disconnection.
Kan News published the statement of a senior Hamas official who said that Sinwar was still alive, and that he went underground when he realized that the IDF might locate his hiding place.
Therefore, Sinwar cut off contact with the organization's leadership abroad, understanding that communication with them could reveal his whereabouts.
According to the Hamas source, Sinwar severed communication only after he provided the organization's leadership with principles for negotiating a deal with Israel, along with an unequivocal instruction not to compromise on any of the principles he presented.
