A large solidarity event commemorating the October 7attack, was broadcast tonight globally from the media center of the Friends of Zion Heritage Center in Jerusalem

Mike Evans, one of the world's leading evangelicals and founder of Friends of Zion said: "The evangelicals stand 100% behind the State of Israel, a quarter of a billion evangelicals are united behind it and believe that there is good against evil, Israel is good and Iran is evil. Israel must do what ever she can to defeat Iran. The world is in a battle between light and darkness and Israel must win".

Evangelical leaders representing a quarter of a billion evangelicals around the world participated in the event, including leaders from two of the largest evangelical denominations: the Southern Baptist Convention and the Assemblies of God.

Dr. Evans remarked that the new wars of the 21st century are media wars, ideological wars, economic wars, and proxy wars. Friends of Zion is globally committed to fighting these battles alongside Israel. "The vast majority of Zionists in the world are not Jewish but stand united, unconditionally, with the Jewish people of Israel".

Responding to US President Biden's latest statement Evans added: "Israel is facing an existential threat at this moment. President Biden's statement to Israel that it does not need to bomb Iran's oil and nuclear facilities is shameful. Israel's friends are obliged around the world to fight these battles alongside Israel. Evangelicals believe that there is good against evil, Israel is the good and Iran is the evil. Israel must do whatever she can to defeat Iran. The world is in a battle between light and darkness and Israel must win.

The late ninth President of Israel, Shimon Peres, was the founding international chairman of the Friends of Zion movement. He famously stated, "It's easier to make friends for Israel than enemies. "I met the Saudi prince and I can tell you, he is pro-Israel and he will make peace with Israel."

The ceremony was moderated by Ashley Waxman Bakshi, a well-known presenter and influencer who has devoted herself entirely to Israeli advocacy since October 7. Her cousin, Agam Berger, was kidnapped and is still held hostage in Gaza. Additionally, representatives from Kibbutz Beeri, families of the hostages, bereaved families, Nova survivors, and members of the security and rescue forces who fought on October 7 participated at the event.

The Friends of Zion Heritage Center is the world's largest social network platform dedicated to the fight against antisemitism and BDS.
