Jerusalem Police Chief Mickey Levy says that the Temple Mount should be opened to Jewish worshipers and visitors after the upcoming war with Iraq. He said that the weakening of Fatah and of Yasser Arafat over the past year makes it possible to re-open the holy site to Jews - contingent upon "a diplomatic and police effort." Levy announced that the police closed yesterday PA offices that were operating on the Mount.
The Temple Mount, Jews' most sacred location in the world, has been closed to them since the onset of the Oslo War in September 2000.
