Israel's Teva Pharmaceuticals Company registered a 53% growth in its net profits in the fourth quarter of 2002. Its sales jumped by 36% to $770 million, and its total income for 2002 was over $2.5 billion.

As it currently stands, the 16th Knesset, which held its opening session yesterday, is set to begin its spring recess only six weeks from now. In addition, the National Union has accepted MK Uri Ariel's proposal to work towards cutting the salaries of Knesset Members by 10%.
