The Home Front Command will begin distributing gas masks to the approximately 60,000 foreign workers of the Tel Aviv area tomorrow. The recipients will be required to pay 100 shekels, plus a 100-shekel deposit - children will receive the masks for free - and it has been promised that the validity of their working papers will not be checked. Israel will also give out gas masks to the 70,000 Arabs living in Area C of Judea, Samaria and Gaza - those areas that are under total Israeli military and administrative control. The Supreme Court ruled that Arabs living in Areas A and B - under the administrative control of the Palestinian Authority - are not eligible to receive gas masks from the State of Israel. Over 30,000 masks have been distributed to Bedouin villages in the south.
