Hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers turned out for yesterday\'s Israeli Day Parade, according to New York radio reports - and close to 20,000 of them walked another mile or so to participate in the Israel Day Concert in Central Park. The annual concert, organized by the National Council of Young Israel and Jerusalem Reclamation Project President Dr. Joseph Frager, was originally established to protest the Oslo Accords. Its theme this year was, \"Jewish Sovereignty Over the Temple Mount.\" Speakers included Likud MK Yuval Shteinitz, Carl Freyer, and Avi Cohen - son of terrorist-victim Baruch Cohen of Efrat, who was murdered by Arab terrorists two months ago. Hassidic music stars Avraham Fried, Dedi Graucher, Ira Heller and others provided musical entertainment.

Many politicians at the parade were outspokenly supportive of Israel\'s right to use force to defend its interests. New York\'s Mayor Giuliani said, \"Thank you to the people of Israel, for the resolute way in which they defend freedom and spread it in a part of the world that needs to learn about freedom. And G-d bless them in their quest for peace - a peace that is built upon security.\"
