Thousands of yeshiva students, high school youth, and supporters of all ages marched to the Western Wall in Jerusalem during the course of the night, in celebration of Jerusalem Day. Several dozen of them walked all the way from the Ashdod-area Kibbutz Yavneh; the walk, which has become a Yavneh tradition, took some 18 hours. Today, the 28th of Iyar, marks the 34th anniversary of the liberation and reunification of Israel\'s capital during the Six Day War.



The IDF General Staff held a special meeting at Ammunition Hill in Jerusalem, the site of an important battle during the aforementioned war. On the agenda: the IDF\'s code of ethics. Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Sha\'ul Mofaz will issue a declaration designed to \"raise the fighting spirit of the soldiers.\" A memorial ceremony will be held there later this evening for the soldiers who fell during the war.
