Family members of the four Israelis abducted to Lebanon in the past 30 months are to meet with a Congressional delegation from Washington today. The relatives of Elchanan Tenenbaum, Adi Avitan, Binyamin Avraham and Omar Souad will ask the Congressmen to ensure that medical help be granted to Tenenbaum. In addition, they want the U.S. to demand the release of the four as a condition for any future moves having to do with Syria, Iran, or Lebanon. The IDF has declared that Avitan, Avraham, and Souad, who were abducted by Hizbullah terrorists in October 2000 while on patrol near the Israeli-Lebanese border, were killed shortly afterwards.
