Yaffa is the eldest in her family, and she’s spent the past five hours scrubbing the kitchen spotless for Pesach. Meanwhile, just a bus ride away, her mother sits in the hospital, recieving grueling chemotherapy ttreatments.
When Yaffa is finished, she looks in her wallet, and her stomach drops: There is no cash left. No physical way to buy matzoh, eggs, chicken, or potatoes to feed herself and her little siblings. .
Yaffa is just a teenager. With her heart heavy and her resources thin, she turned to the one place she knew she could ask for help: Bsiyata.
As Pesach approaches, Bsiyata is gearing up for its annual distribution of Passover grocery vouchers. Yaffa’s family, along with over 60 others, including cancer patients and bereaved families, are relying on Bsiyata's support to afford food for Passover.
