National Unity Party Chairman Minister Benny Gantz commented on the unprecedented attack by Iran against Israel in an address to the nation.

"Yesterday, Iran launched an attack on Israel and met the might of the Israeli defensive system," Gantz opened.

"Iran is an international problem, it is a regional challenge, and a danger to Israel as well, and yesterday, the world stood clearly together with Israel against the danger. Israel is against Iran, the world is against Iran - and this is the result. This is a strategic achievement, which we must leverage for Israel's security," he continued.

"This story isn't over, the strategic pact and the regional cooperation which we built and stood a substantial test, must be strengthened now. Israel proved yesterday that she is an anchor of military and technological might and an anchor of security in the Middle East. Thanks to the IDF commanders and soldiers, thanks to the technology, thanks to the industry.

"In the face of the Iranian threat, we will build a regional coalition and we will take a toll on Iran, in the manner and at the time that is right for us," he declared.

"And most importantly, in the face of our enemies' will to hurt us, we will unite and get stronger.

"Today, too, we must remember that we have not yet completed our goal, the first of which is the return of the hostages and the removal of the threat to the residents of the south and north.

"We will continue in the fight, with determination and responsibility. And together - we will win," he concluded.
