A Keren Hayesod Rabbinical Solidarity Mission of 30 rabbis from Europe and South America, representing all streams of Judaism, will arrive in Israel on a seven-day solidarity visit this week. The group will meet with terror victims and new immigrants.
In addition, a German Leadership Delegation of 14 leading figures in Germany, including members of Parliament, will arrive on a visit this week. They will meet with editors of Israeli newspapers and with Israeli decision-makers. The American Jewish Committee is sponsoring the trip.
The Jewish Agency for Israel, in the framework of "Project Kesher (Connection)," will be holding a Hasbarah seminar for students this week. Forty selected university students will take part in the course, in which they will study Jewish identity, the history of Zionism, and advocacy for Israel. They will be trained to participate in campaigns to enhance Israel’s image in the media. In addition, 300 students visiting Israel on the Birthright program will participate in a Jewish Agency seminar on Aliyah, featuring information on absorption and study opportunities in Israel.
