Shifra Apfel tries not to look into the future because she is scared of what she may see.
Right now, Shifra, a mother of seven, is battling brain cancer. Doctors have told her that she must fly to Germany as soon as possible to receive life-saving specialized treatments. The family lives simply and can’t afford the trip to Germany, let alone the treatments.
They opened up an emergency fund and have advertised across the world, in a desperate attempt to raise the money in time. While many have given generously, unfortunately, the amount raised is simply not enough.
If this campaign does not turn around and start to raise much more money, soon the headlines will change from “Mother of 7 Fighting For Her Life” to “Mother of 7 Dead at 35.”
The kindness of strangers has moved the family deeply, but unless they reach the full amount, Shifra’s life is over.
