Peace Now says that their aerial photos show that 15 new outposts have been established in Judea and Samaria since the elections - all more than 200 meters away from existing settlements. Peace Now claims that this makes a \"mockery of the Sharon government\'s promise not to establish new settlements.\" The reference is to neighborhoods such as northern Alon Shvut, West Elazar, North Bat Ayin, Yakir, and more. The Yesha Council\'s reaction:

\"There is no limit to the extreme left\'s cynical gall. It\'s not enough that they brought Arafat here and gave him guns - they yet dare to count how many of us are still left alive and how many have closed in their porches... Peace Now knows that their claims are untrue, and that all the locations they mentioned have been in existence since the days of the Barak government. Their purpose is only to cause a rift between Likud and Labor, to dismantle the unity government, and bring about a dispute with the U.S. Most of Israel\'s citizens are well aware that what is preventing peace is not the settlements in Yesha, but the alliance between Peace Now and Arafat.\"
