More reports continue to swarm confirming the cynical use being made of Beit Jala residents by the PA Tanzim terrorist forces. Arutz-7 noted during the first month of the current violence, \"there have been reports that the firing is not carried out by local residents, but rather by outsiders who use threats to force the residents to allow them to use their homes.\" Last week, Israeli security sources were quoted on Israel Radio to the effect that residents of Bethlehem and Beit Jala are so frustrated with the Tanzim\'s reign of terror that they are providing Israel with operative information against them. An Israeli security official told The Jerusalem Post that two weeks ago, Beit Jala residents circulated a leaflet with names of Tanzim gunmen whose actions were generating harsh Israeli responses. He also said that Israel is investigating reports that Tanzim members have commandeered and sold UNWRA food supplies. The official said that though the Tanzim wish to be seen as freedom fighters, they are now perceived as racketeers. The Palestinians also complain of Tanzim violence and abuse within their own community. Recently a local girl was raped by Tanzim members; she was then murdered by her family to \"protect the family\'s honor,\" and no action was taken against the rapists.
