One of the new Likud MKs, USSR-born Michael Gurolovsky of the eastern Judea community of Nokdim, spoke with Arutz-7 today about his past and future. "I have been a Likud member for 13 years," he said, "and I head the new-immigrants department in the party." He acknowledged being a friend of his Nokdim co-resident, National Union leader MK Avigdor Lieberman, and agreed that Lieberman still has some influence in the Likud:
"[New MKs] Ruchama Avraham and Ehud Olmert, and many others - maybe half the list - are also good friends of Lieberman, who headed Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's bureau."
Asked what type of government he would like to see, Gurolovsky said, "I want a strong, stable government that will last the full four years. I am not an adherent of a government with Shinui, and Labor doesn't look like it wants to join…" Gurolovsky said that the situation in which "the Likud wins the election, but the [left-wing] continue to rule in the courts and elsewhere" is something that he will fight against. "In addition, I want to end the media persecution of right-wing personalities; I myself have been hurt by this, and I plan to fight against this phenomenon."
