An IAF aircraft accidentally struck a house in the Gaza Strip in which IDF soldiers were staying this week, Ynet reported. One soldier was killed in the incident.
The name of the soldier who was killed will not be published at the request of his family. The funeral has already taken place.
According to the report, the incident occurred when ground forces requested combat helicopters for air support against an identified terrorist cell.
Helicopters rushed to the scene, but due to incorrect instructions from the ground accidentally fired at the building in which the soldiers who called for their assistance were stationed.
