In widespread operational activity in Judea and Samaria overnight (Sunday), forces eliminated a terror cell that fired at them in the city of Qalqilya and arrested the terrorist who shot at an IDF soldier earlier in the day in Silat a-Dahr in Samaria.

During the activity, the forces pursued wanted suspects, and exchanges of fire broke out, during which two terrorists were eliminated, and additional ones were wounded.

Among the terrorists who were eliminated was the cell leader, A'laa Nazal, 29, from Qalqilya, who recently carried out several shooting attacks and received funding from terror headquarters overseas. From the terrorists' vehicle, the forces seized a handgun, an M-16 assault rifle, and cartridges.

In addition, the forces operated in Silat a-Dahr in Samaria after an IDF soldier was lightly wounded when a terrorist opened fire and threw an explosive device at the forces while operating in the village. During the operation, the forces arrested two suspects, one of whom is suspected of wounding the soldier. The forces located a hunting rifle, a Carlo rifle, ammunition, and a bag containing explosives.

In an operation to thwart terror in Jenin, forces arrested six suspects. During the operation, terrorists fired and threw explosives at the forces, who returned fire.

In an operation in the villages of Silwad, Jifna, and the Jilzon "Refugee" Camp in Binyamin, the forces located arms, including a drone, lasers, two hunting rifles, and ammunition. In an operation in the Ezion Brigade, nine suspects were arrested.

In addition, in a joint IDF and ISA operation in the villages of Tilat and Uzun in the Efraim Brigade, forces seized three Carlo rifles and improvized spikes that were used by terrorists to carry out the shooting attack on Highway 5 two weeks ago.

In total, 29 terrorists were arrested in Judea and Samaria and transferred for further questioning by security forces.

Since the beginning of the war, approximately 2,150 suspects from Judea, Samaria, and the Jordan Valley have been arrested. Approximately 1,100 of them belong to Hamas.
