The IDF rejected claims by senior officers, published by military correspondent Amir Bohbot, that vital recordings from the day of the Hamas terrorist attack on October 7th have disappeared from the military database.
"Contrary to the publications coming to light in the last day, materials and recordings documenting the events of October 7th were not erased or concealed."
"All the materials from the IDF’s operational systems of the documented events are saved and are accessible to relevant parties, like other operational materials, and access to the materials is blocked to those who are not required to deal with them. Any other claim is baseless," the IDF spokesman said.
Bohbot published that, according to senior reserve officers, videos from the various IDF surveillance cameras along the Gaza border were deleted in order to sabotage the investigation. He added that officials in the Gaza Division said that there were also interferences in the radio recordings from that day, preventing the possibility of getting a complete picture of proceedings on the day of the attack.
