Rabbi Ephraim Wolf, Chairman of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement in Israel, passed away last night. He served as head of Chabad in Israel for the past 54 years. His funeral departed this morning from the Chabad Yeshiva in Lod for Jerusalem, where he was laid to rest.



Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak called Prime Minister Sharon today to congratulate him on the Likud victory in the elections. Sharon's staffers said that Mubarak and Sharon agreed to meet after the formation of the new government.



Flooding was once again the order of the day in several areas in Israel, due to heavy rains. Residents of 40 homes were evacuated in Mazra, near Nahariya, and other areas and roads in the vicinity were also flooded.
