The family of Aviv Atzili, a Nir Oz resident who was thought to be held hostage, was notified on Thursday that he was murdered in the October 7th massacre.
The notification about his murder comes hours after his wife, Liat, was released from Hamas captivity.
Kibbutz Nir Oz stated: "It is with great sorrow that Kibbutz Nir Oz announces the falling of Aviv Atzili on October 7th. He was 49, a member of Kibbutz Nir Oz. Aviv left behind his wife, Liat, and children: Ofri, Neta, and Aya."
Aviv was one of the supporting pillars of the Nir Oz community and managed the agricultural tool workshop in the Kibbutz. He was a painter and motorcyclist and loved people and the land."
