The IDF stated that it has completed preparations to receive the hostages who will be released by Hamas later today, in an operation dubbed “Heaven’s Doors.”

"Over the past day, the IDF completed preparations for receiving the hostages released from captivity in the Gaza Strip upon their return to Israel. The IDF, in coordination with government ministries and security authorities, have prepared to quickly receive the released hostages and give them all the necessary support. As part of the preparations, the IDF has readied several locations dedicated to the initial reception of the released hostages, including with necessary medical provisions and support. After the initial reception and medical treatment, the released hostages will continue to hospitals, where they will be reunited with their families," the IDF announced.

The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit requested "patience and sensitivity from the public and the media and asked all citizens to respect the privacy of the released hostages and their families."

The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit also requested that the public "refer to official updates and announcements only, and refrain from enabling the weaponization of psychological terror by terrorist organizations."

All released hostages will receive special noise-canceling headphones that were bought especially for them and are also suitable for children in order to calm them during the fight from Egypt to Hatzerim Airbase in southern Israel. Once at the base, the hostages will be examined by medical staff and therapists.

The hostages will also be given phones so that they can call their families as soon as they arrive at the base to let them know that they have been released. In addition, toys have been prepared to be given to the children who are released.

Freed hostages who require immediate medical assistance will be flown straight to a hospital instead of Hatzerim base, while the remaining hostages will be taken to hospitals after their initial checkups at the base.
