Gila Sacks, the daughter of the former Chief Rabbi of the United Kingdom, Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks OBM, who passed away two years ago, addressed a memorial event for her father at Carnegie Hall in New York City two weeks ago. During her address, she spoke about what her father would say about the current situation in Israel and the diaspora.

"Do not, even for a moment, accept that this is the way the world is, that maybe we are destined to be a people who dwells alone, a people always under threat. No! We must not accept this," she proclaimed.

Sacks added that her father wrote that "despair is not a Jewish emotion. So, we must find the strength to hope and not to despair.

Following the address, Israeli creators who saw it edited it along with pictures and videos from the past few weeks.
