Leading up to International Student Day, the Hostages Families Forum and Israel's Student Union have launched an alarming campaign across US campuses: Students worldwide are being asked to participate in "The Worst Student Exchange Program." The catch? The students they are proposing to exchange are Israeli students kidnapped by Hamas and held in Gaza. The message is, "Would you be willing to switch places with them?"
As part of the campaign, Jewish volunteers will set up branded booths at Harvard, Princeton, Yale, and other universities in the US, where they will hand out flyers and posters supposedly promoting the student exchange program but actually conveying shocking information about the Israeli hostages. Alongside the on-the-ground campaign, videos "launching" the same "student exchange program" will be distributed on social media.
The kidnapped students are Inbar Haiman, 27, a Visual Communications student, Noa Argamani, 26, a Management Information Systems student, Carmel Gat, 39, an Undergraduate student, Idan Shtivi, 28, a Sustainability and Environment student, and Ofir Tzarfati, an Electrical Engineering student.
Tragically, just before the launch of this campaign, Tamar Guttman, also a student, was declared dead. May her memory be a blessing.
