An explosion was heard on Thursday afternoon in the yard of the Tzaelim School in Eilat. The IDF has confirmed that the explosion was a result of a drone that hit a building.
Seven victims were treated for shock at the scene by MDA EMTs and paramedics.
The police stated that "Officers from the Eilat Precinct and among them police explosive disposal experts, are currently operating in Eilat due to a suspected security incident. Police forces are spread out and are blocking and directing traffic to alternate routes.
The Eilat Municipality stated: "An explosion that occurred in the past few minutes at the Tzaelim School is still being investigated. No one was hurt. The public is asked not to come to the area and to allow the security forces to operate.
The IDF stated: "A short time ago, an unmanned aircraft hit a civilian building in the city of Eilat. The aircraft's identity and the incident's details are under investigation.
