Throughout our Biblical history, when the Children of Israel strayed from the Torah and from Hashem, the Master of Heaven and Earth sent enemy armies against us to bring us back to him in repentance and renewed loyalty. Such is the situation today.

Without going into a detailed list of things which need spiritual improvement in Israel, please understand that the current war against Hamas is not limited to the Jews in Israel. Already we see the repercussions for Jews around the world. Major protests against Israel in cities around the globe have increased an already rising anti-Semitism. Jewish college students in America are afraid to return to their campuses where anti-Israel activity is rampant. Many are afraid to be identified as Jews.

I read today that many Jews in the Diaspora have begun to remove the mezuzas on their outside doorposts so their homes will not become a target.

Thus the war in Israel has a direct influence on the lives of Jews throughout the Diaspora. Make no mistake. This is Hashem’s doing as well. If until now millions of Jews in the Diaspora have not heeded the call of the Torah to live in the Land of Israel, Hashem is forcing them to hear the call now. The Jew haters around the world are forcing them to hear.

While we have troubles in Israel, we have a powerful army, thank G-d, to protect us. The Jews in Paris, London, Brooklyn or Boca have no Jewish tanks or fighter jets or IDF soldiers to defend them. Make no mistake – as the war in Israel continues, the situation of Jews throughout the Diaspora will only get worse.

The golden days of the Diaspora are gone. The “good days” will never return. It will never be the same. More and more, the Jews who live in gentile lands will begin to realize the exile is indeed a curse. Hashem is not a liar. He long ago decreed His chosen children shall live in the Land of Israel and He will surely bring it to pass.

If not to save yourselves, come home to Israel for the sake of your children. There is absolutely no future for them outside of the Promised Land. They will either assimilate or be forced to flee like refugees in many unpleasant ways. Hashem decreed and He will bring it to pass. With outstretched arms we welcome you.

Please, come home now!
