Forty-three U.S. high school seniors in the USA arrived in Israel last week on a unique Solidarity with Israel Mission. Participants, from high schools in New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia and Cleveland, are active members in the Bnei Akiva youth movement. They have been spending their ten-day trip in the Old City of Jerusalem, Hashmonaim near Kiryat Sefer and Modiin, visiting JNF forests and tree-planting sites, spending time at Tel HaShomer hospital, meeting with terror victims, and more. To pay for the trip, and to purchase toys for children injured in terrorist attacks, the students did their own fund-raising, including mainly a bowl-a-thon. Other donations were received from the Jewish National Fund, Religious Zionists of America, Bnei Akiva, and private donors.
