State Attorney Edna Arbel says that criminal proceedings will not be opened against MK Ahmed Tibi. She says that his parliamentary immunity protects him against prosecution for his epithets earlier this week against IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Sha’ul Mofaz. Arbel said, however, that the Knesset itself could discipline Tibi. A complaint had been filed with the police against Tibi, who, while speaking from the Knesset podium, yelled that Mofaz was a \"fascist... responsible for the murder of children in cold blood.\"
