IDF spokesman Brig. Gen. Daniel Hagari commented this morning (Sunday) on the firing of anti-tank missiles from Lebanon, which resulted in the murder of a construction worker in Shfula, and the progress of the war against Hamas on the southern front.

Hagari said of the Hezbollah attack: "We responded and eliminated the source of the shooting, Lebanon is responsible for the shooting from its territory - we will act anywhere in the Middle East to fulfill our needs."

On the southern front, he said: "The IDF soldiers killed a terrorist identified in the area of Kibbutz Nir Am. This is a closed military area. The number of casualties is 286 IDF soldiers."

"The Chief of Staff spoke with his counterparts throughout the world - all of them deal with intelligence assistance, and not only [intelligence], to the State of Israel," he added.

"The residents of Gaza City are evacuating, but Hamas is trying to stop this," he said and addressed the residents of Gaza: "Get out of Gaza City and the area around it for your safety. Move south, go south of the Wadi Gaza wetlands, in this area, there are conditions that will allow you to live."

"All of our forces are being prepared for the next stage of the war," he said.

Wadi Gaza is only about 5 kilometers from Gaza City and if allowed to, civilians could reach safety easily.
