Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett commented on the Hamas invasion to CNN.

'We've never seen anything like this since the Holocaust," he said, "And we founded the state of Israel to make sure things like this never happened again. We can't change history, but we can shape the future. We are going to hit back at Hamas until we destroy them."

"We're not out to hurt the Gazan people, but we have no responsibility not to hurt them. We are fighting a Nazi state, in my opinion, but we are not going to intentionally target civilians."

"People across the state, from wall to wall, are eager to hit back. Enlistment is at 130%, meaning people discharged years ago from reserve service are insisting that they join the fight. Israel took a huge hit, but while our hearts areshattered, out spirit is strong, and we are going to hit back. It's not going to be fun, but it is nescessary."

"There's a huge difference between temporary refuge and burning babies or raping young girls. This response is not just proportional, it is far below the threshold."
